About Jeffrey K. Kobs, MD
Joining Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic in 1993, Dr. Jeffrey Kent Kobs has managed to combine his love of medicine and his love of the great outdoors. As a sports orthopedist, Dr. Kobs treats orthopaedic conditions related to sports activity and shoulder & knee injuries of any type with advanced arthroscopic techniques. He is a Clinical Instructor of Orthopaedic Surgery at UNC and has taught the resident staff at Wake Medical Center for over 13 years. Dr. Kobs has written several articles in trade publications and published research in papers as varied as Neuroscience Abstracts and Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery.
Dr. Kobs is a long time member of COAN, a non-profit orthopaedic organization whose mission is to improve orthopaedic surgery in the Nation of Nicaragua. He currently serves as the President of the organization, and has led thirteen missions to Leon, Nicaragua since 2000. Dr. Kobs’s interests include family, boating, golfing, skiing, and developing medical devices for use in the 3rd world.
